My Tools & Equipment

It is not a surprise when I walk into my shop - I'm more humbled than surprised because I expect them to be there. When others walk into my shop they're...well, they're quite amazed at the amount of tools and equipment contained in my shop.

I'm not amazed. I like to think I'm blessed. I'm blessed with a Wife who understands me and what I do and what resources it takes for me to do it efficiently. So, that's why I have the equipment I do. Well, all that and the fact my Lauri is a soft touch for a sad story... I'll say something like, "Oh, honey, if I just had this Blurfl I'd be able to..." Or we'd be down in Missoula visiting Home Depot - more affectionately known in our household as, 'Shangrila' - and I'll sneer at some power tool and say, "If only Porter Cable made this" and then I would sigh and walk away. I can't put my finger on it, exactly, but moments like those always seemed to coincide with Christmas, my birthday, sometimes even Lent. Those wonderful times are all but gone now because there's nothing else I need. They taught me to say that and I think I'm doing pretty good. They even said I can leave as soon as I'm able to gum my jello without choking.
